ON GOALS AND GOALESSNESS
It is no secret that motivation has never been permanent. We all have our moments of great inspiration and motivation. At all those points we feel rejuvenated and everything seems like an endless river of possibilities. But life does not give us the luxury to constantly exist on our top most level of inspiration.
Remember that one time you sat down and reviewed all the bad decisions and company you have kept. You felt that for real you had to change. You might even have made a plan on how you were going to do things differently and better. How is it that you never got to follow on that plan and make that difference you were so certain you needed to make to be a better you?
First of all I want you to know it was not your fault. We all want to hear that right? That it was not our fault. Our lives are our creation and creation will follow the script of the author no matter how hazardous it is. Change will happen according to our scripts, planned or unplanned.
Last year I decided to open a new page of perceptive on life. I wondered why most of my friends and I were certain that goal planning was a worst of time while successful people and successful global enterprises spent millions each year on goal planning. A person in the dark will not stay in the dark if he knew he was in the dark and uncomfortable. Unless the person is seeking darkness I dare say he will not stay there longer than he wants. Most of the times that you are in the dark you will not know unless someone tells you. This is so because the dark is different. Some lights are darkness to a certain level of living. I am saying $500 salary is darkness to a person who earns $10 000.
My friends and I were in our own light which was a darkness to a level above us. But if ever one wanted to leave our realm he had to at least notice that our light was dim. I was not that fortunate to see how dim it lit but I did realize that if mad people who make goals were successful I needed that same madness. The price was too little to pay.
WHAT I DISCOVERED ABOUT GOALS
Interestingly I discovered though I saw goal setting as a worst all of us made goals. The difference was one knew and was deliberate to achieve them and the one just handled them with no deliberation. Both could succeed but the deliberate one with them was better positioned…to be continued.
