The political developments in Zimbabwe can only be resolved by yet another Government of National Unity (G.N.U) konnectnews.com can give a detailed analysis.
The sacking of former VP Emmerson Mnangagwa and his desire to come back from exile in China to lead Zim is an epitome of power hunger that most politicians in Zimbabwe have especially when they do not consider the feelings of the people.
Ngwena served as a loyalist to President Mugabe for 50 decades and suddenly he agrees with the people that there is something wrong with him which any right thinking person would observe that he is the one who is not thinking right.
It clearly shows that he is not sincere for if he would not have been sacked he would continue to bootlick anď heap praises on the powers that be just to keep himself in contention to be President.
“The politics of Zimbabwe have no shortcuts. There are lions along shortcuts. These short cuts are dangerous and deadly. There are lions there. I am warning you; be careful! You can die. The long journey has no shortcuts. You have to walk the long journey like we did during the independent struggle,” said President Mugabe in a speech that warned the Crocodile on his ambitions.
However, as things stand in Zim: the country is a guided democracy that allows the leader to take the people to where they should go not the other way round it is so because the powers that be are still influential and hold a lot of influence in the country and the continent.
It was only a tripple years back that Joice Mujuru tried to establish herself as somebody that she got the shock of her life by being ousted from government because she forgot her place after she met with ambassadors anď other influential world leaders but the present day shows she doesn’t have support.
The only opposition party that can threaten Zanu Pf is Tsvangirai anď the MDC but they cannot complete the task alone as exhibited by 2008 which brought election results that had a lot of irregularities resulting in a run – off.
Despite, all this Tsvangirai and MDC will not rule Zimbabwe in its legal stature so resolving to a government of national unity if perchance they win the 2018 elections is the best for the nation. Thabo Mbeki and South Africa had a better understanding of this when they put Zimbabwe’s political parties on a Government of National Unity platform.
Precisely, this is good for the country, Africa and the world because everyone wants to lead even though they pretend to be their for the people but in reality it is for their own skin.
