The powers that be in S.A’s northern neighbour, Zimbabwe have descended mightly on one of the country’s co – vice presidents Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa who is widely seen as heir apparent to the throne today in Bulawayo with an axe threatening to dethrone him from his post even tomorrow, President Mugabe said.
It was the first lady, Grace Mugabe who fearlessly declared Mnangagwa’s time over when she warned those that booed her that she knew it had been planned.
“Handityi kutaura nyangwe mukaisa masoja kumberi kwangu,”(l am not afraid to talk even if you put soilders in front of me) she said amid the boos directly aiming her statements to the army that is said to back the “crocodile” as Mnangagwa is affectionately known, however, the VP sat quitely next to his wife Auxillia as he listened motionlessly to what was being said.
“I appointed Mnangagwa to be my deputy and can even remove him tomorrow, …if he wants he can form his own party with those that follow him, those that are behind me remain…, ” said President Mugabe in a move that spells doom for the Crocodile.
Mnangagwa’s political career now precariously hangs by the thread as the December ZANU PF Congress edges closer and might be booted out the Mujuru way should the temperatures continue to surge the way they are doing.
The Crocodile is said to be nicodemously leading a faction called Lacoste and is said to be backed by the militia, war veterans and other members of the party while the first lady is said to be in rivalry by leading a faction called G – 40.
The chickens are surely coming home to roost as exhibited by the president’s words which are in reminiscence of the biblical allegory of Moses when the children of Israel had sinned against God by erecting and worshipping an idol.
