Cape Town, South Africa – Two people were shot on yesterday evening when armed thieves broke into their home whilst they were watching television around seven o’clock in KTC, Nyanga. Konnectnews.com arrived at the scene when police had put on barriers to stop people from ogling at the lifeless bodies which they were putting in coffins. Forensic experts had also stormed the scene to take fingerprints to try and gather evidence that would lead them to the identity of the suspects.
“I will never stay here after what I have seen. I thought I would move here since the rentals are cheap but this has pulled me back. I have seen the corpse of a man being put in a coffin. It’s quite shocking and unbelievable that it has happened like this, ” said a man who only identified himself as Danny. A woman who came from the scene could only greet konnectnews.com news crew and could say nothing further as she was rushing to her home.
It has become a norm for thieves to storm in peoples houses to steal their properties in Nyanga and Philipi. Moreso, thieves have continuously harassed unsuspecting locals and even stubbed resisting ones in broad day light.
